THANK YOU ALL AND CONGRATULATIONS TO MIKE SLATTERY!!!

Two good candidates took this primary election right down to the wire. Democratic votership in the 24th District has DOUBLED since 2006. The far right wing should be quaking in their boots. I am so grateful to the hundreds of steadfast and generous supporters in and outside the 24th district who have stood with me during this campaign. We can all be proud of our message and the means by which we articulated it. To all the endorsing groups, my eternal thanks for your faith in my candidacy.

I am also proud of Mike Slattery. He kept his campaign issue-oriented and positive...an example that far too few candidates seem to follow. Though it was a squeaker in every sense of the word, Mike has won the right to carry the fight into November, and I totally, unequivocally and enthusiastically support him. When he says that no one will work harder for you in Topeka, I know this to be true. As Democrats, we need to be united as never before. As Moderates, we know there is only one path to follow, and Mike walks with us. I cannot stress this enough: Mike slattery needs and deserves your vote on November 4, and I will work with him to return this district to Moderate hands.
